Just ahead of its international conference and “The Every-Building Show” taking place near Washington, DC beginning this weekend, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International unveiled its largest class of buildings qualifying for the BOMA 360 Performance Program® designation.
A total of 66 buildings qualified under the program in the second quarter of 2011. To date, more than 300 buildings have earned the BOMA 360 designation, which recognizes commercial properties that demonstrate best practices in building operations and management.
The BOMA 360 Performance Program evaluates properties in six major areas: building operations and management; life safety/security/risk management; training and education; energy; environment/sustainability; and tenant relations/community involvement.
According to research cited by BOMA, buildings that achieve the BOMA 360 Performance Program designation score higher in a majority of tenant satisfaction categories compared to other commercial office buildings.
